Chen Bao Guang was graduated from the Central Fine Arts and Crafts College at the end of 1981. He was then assigned to work at the Arts and Crafts Company of the Light Industry Department in early 1982.

He is now the Vice Chairman of China National Furniture Association (CNFA), Chief of Traditional Furniture Committee of CNFA, Vice Chief of Hardwood Furniture Committee of CNFA, Group Chief of Design-work Committee of CNFA and Group Chief of Science Technology Committee of CNFA.

He is also the editor of magazine "China Furniture", Chief of "Furniture and Interior Design" editorial committee, Vice Chief of "Furniture" editorial committee, Professors of Nanjing Forestry University and Central South University of Forestry Science and Technology. He has been in charge of editing lots of authoritative works such as "China Furniture Industry Development", "Member List of Furniture Associations in China", "Prestigious Office Furniture Enterprises", "China Furniture Annual Publication" in 2002 and 2003 and "China Furniture Yearbook" from 2004 to 2010.

In the past 10 years, Chen Bao Guang has always been the judge of Design Competitions in furniture expos in the cities of Shanghai, Guangzhou, etc. to promote China furniture design and the development of traditional Red Wood furniture in contemporary China. He is always responsible to promote China furniture industry development.
